Weekend Update

Hello lovelies! Sunday is coming to an end, which means the start of a new work week. I hope you all had great weekends. My weekends have been becoming better and better, despite the fact that I've been in bed before midnight every single night.

Friday night, I drove down with Sarah to Providence to see our close friend Korto and her friend Mimi for dinner. Despite the fact that Sarah and I got lost for an hour (neither of us have commendable directional skills), dinner was lovely. We went to 10 Steak and Sushi for dinner, which serves, of course, steak, and sushi. I had the Dice-K Maki, which consists of salmon, cucumber, eel, avocado, and eel garlic sauce. Yum.

Saturday, I took a 3 hour LSAT, got a manicure, met my friend Abbey to see Changeling, with the Most Beautiful Woman In The World, Angelina Jolie (warning- the movie is very disturbing--bring tissues), and finished off the evening with my old friend Kerice, John, and our friend Reggie at Miracle of Science for burgers and beers.

Today was the best day! It was family day with the Shea family! I went with John, his sisters Margaret and Katie, and Katie's boyfriend Ben to have brunch with his counsins, Caitlin, Jeff and their scrumptious baby Lucy. After a Barefoot Contessa bruch, we took a walk around Jamaica Plain and all bought great hats from this store Salmagundi. Then John and I came back and watched The Fall- a visually stunning movie. Currently, I'm in sweatpants on the couch watching Dexter. So far, not a great episode.

I hope tomorrow is the greatest Monday ever for all of you!

Weekend

I had the best Halloween! I'm in CT, bonding with my mother, but pictures are coming.

Yesterday I squelched around in the mud wearing scottie dog wellies, uprooting plants, and raking dead leaves. I love being outside, I love mud, and I love the smell of fresh earth.

For all of you Connecticut folks, I went to the restaurant Cafe Routier in Westbrook with Mama last night. We sat at the bar, ate yummy steak-frites and had delicious cocktails. Definitely a place to go for dinner. I definitely recommend sitting at the bar; the dining room is a little "stiff".

In sweatpants right now. I don't want to get out of them and go home (except to see John).

Hope that you lovelies had a great weekend! Remember, send your Halloween photos to danielle.seaton@gmail.com and I'll post them!

Enjoy the wonderful fall day!

Weekend

I had what was ultimately the most low-key, uneventful weekend this weekend and it was glorious. Friday night I went to go see the movie Happy-Go-Lucky, a small movie about a 30 year old woman who is determined to see everything in life through rose-colored glasses. Perfect kind of Friday night movie. Of course I was the only person who cried through the entire movie and had no tissues. I used John's sleeve instead.

Saturday I studied for the LSAT at a wonderful little cafe down the street, Cafe Andala. For those of you in the Cambridge area, check out Andala. They have the most delicious Arabic coffee (strong coffee with cardamom ). Sarah joined me as she's applying to med school. We had a lovely little study session. Oh, to be in school again (I shouldn't pretend that I'm not excited because I'm so looking forward to it).

On Saturday night I drove to West Hartford to have dinner at Barcelona for Morgan's birthday dinner. For any of you in the Connecticut area, it's a great tapas place. Very nice and cozy. Came back and went to bed.

Sunday started out with another study session at Andala, followed by Indian food and a lazy Sunday at home with John. We're on the couch watching Mad Men now.

I know this is a boring post, but this weekend was the kind of weekend that I really needed. No pictures, no going out, and some time at home. Sometimes I forget that running around during the week takes its toll on you.

I hope you lovelies had wonderful weekends too!
